Meet Bobby Voight, RHINO’s Vice President

Bobby Voight, RHINO's Vice President

At RHINO, our team is made up of people who really care about our buildings and our customers, from the top down. Meet Bobby Voight, the RHINO Steel Buildings Vice President. Bobby has a passion for what we do here, and he’s in charge of so much behind the scenes — every building that goes up is owed in some part to Bobby. Learn about his history with us, what he does, and why he believes RHINO is the best building company out there.

When did you first join RHINO? What was your path to becoming Vice President?

Funnily enough, I started at RHINO on my birthday — March 6, 2001. I began as a customer service representative. Three years after joining, the then-VP announced he was retiring. I guess I had made a good impression, because I was offered the VP role by then-President Bruce Brown.

Could you describe your role and what you do for RHINO?

One of my main duties is reviewing orders before the contracts go out to make sure everything is correct, as well as communicating with vendors, staying informed on price changes and updates. I also oversee the staff and I’m in charge of much of what happens in-house.

What is your favorite part of your job?

Being involved with the customers. After someone places an order, I call them and thank them for their business. It’s important to me that our customers know how much we appreciate them choosing RHINO. I enjoy getting to hear people’s stories and learn if they are a referral or repeat client — many of our customers are! I also talk with them about their delivery date and make sure everything works for them.

What makes RHINO the best in the business?

Strong communication is what sets us apart. We actually answer our phones — you can even communicate with us via text. For instance, if you have an issue while erecting your building, you can take a photo of the problem and send it directly to RHINO to review. Communication is something Bruce Brown really instilled in the team from the very beginning. He used to say, “Everybody can accept bad news; it’s no news that they don’t like.” When you work with RHINO, you’ll never be left in the dark. We keep our customers updated every step of the way.

What do you enjoy doing outside of work?

I enjoy watching basketball — my father was a coach for over 30 years. And I love being around family…especially the grandkids!
